Sorry I haven't been updating this too often. Our internet has really sucked since they replaced the wireless router they have. Everyone keeps getting kicked off and has a hard time getting getting on.
We are on a new schedule that hopefully will help us get free time off during the times that everything else on post happens. Most of the events that take place in Arifjan are during the times that we work. They are also working on getting us a day off. We are supposed to be getting a full day off anyway but they haven't given us a day off since we've been here.
Today we got a new body armor system. It's a lot more comfortable than the other stuff we had. It barely feels like your wearing anything compared to the interceptor. I'm kind of reluctant to wear it though cause i don't want to get it dirty.
i have yet to go out on a mission that is just with the people from my squad, though we are getting closer to one of those kinds of missions and we should hopefully be able to go out by ourselves soon and run things they way we want to.
the first set of people are going to be taking leave soon so that will mean everyone else will be running more missions. It also means less time off.
I haven't been able to go to the Wednesday night bible studies yet, and the Friday bible study hasn't worked out yet either. I'm still able to play for the Sunday service occassionally when I am in and have had the chance to go to the Thursday night practice. I'm looking in to getting a Cajon. It's a box type drum and should be hopefully durable enough to withstand the elements out here. And it should give a nice variety to the sounds that come out during the worship services.
