Key Points to Know
1. Try to boil down the entirety of your study into one key phrase. If there was only one thing that the people in your group could walk away with what should they know? |
Key Passage(s)
|
Passage: Key Themes: Summarize the passage of scripture bullet style. The bullets should all lead into and reinforce the "Key Point." If you are studying multiple passages then it might be necessary to have more than one "Key Point." Try to keep things simple, less is more. What's the point in having 32 "Key Points" if 98% of your group will only remember 2? And only 1% will actually apply what they've learned to their lives? |
Reflective Discussion Questions: People remember things a lot better if they come up with it so ask questions that relate the "Key Themes" to how to live them out. If you make people examine and discuss how scripture relates to their life they are 100% more likely to apply it the things they think about. |
Application
|
Individual Challenge Over the course of the Reflective Discussion people might already have an idea of how they can apply what's been discussed to their life. Now its your job to help inspire them to start making those changes. These statements should be visions of what the future could be like if a person knows and applies the "Key Point" to their life. |
Community Challenge Now that you've inspired individuals to make changes in their lives, leave them with a vision of what could happen if everyone in the group made applied what was talked about to their lives |
